The 36th Paint & Pintura Coatings Technology and Ma- nagement Forum, South Region, is taking place on June 14 at Blue Tree Premium Londrina, conveniently located in downtown Londrina, Paraná. Major companies in the industry are taking part in this edition, such as Adexim- -Comexim, Brenntag, Eastman, Elementis, the MAST Group, IMCD, Rudnik, and Wacker, which is also being backed by Tintas Ciacollor, Rácz & Yamaga Associates, and Solufix. The city of Londrina has been chosen to host the forum because it is an important beacon of development both state-wide and regionally, and is also themost significant urban, economic, manufacturing, financial, administrative and cultural center in northern Paraná, exerting a high degree of influence on the state’s and the South region’s economy, business and politics. Londrina is a confirmed regional powerhouse in both the manufacturing and service sectors. Back in the 1990’s, on occasion of the implementation of its first master plan, it was considered the third most city in Brazil. Together with some of its neighboring towns, it has a number of key decorative and industrial coatings companies loca- ted there which supply customers nationwide and have been growingmore andmore rapidly within the Brazilian marketplace. Since 2011 the Paint & Pintura forums have been bringing to Brazil’s various regions the very best that exists in technology, innovation, management and sustainability for the paint and coatings industry. Altogether, 15 cities have been visited, with a total turnout in excess of 3,500 attendees since the first edition. Our products are also present inmost Brazilian states, either through from direct sales or through distributors. Our pathway to growth entails a widespread posting of signs saying, ‘Where there’s paint, there’s Dacar’, in all points of sale that carry our brand, which are in excess of 8,000 at this time,” Garcia points out. Dacar sells paints, varnishes, and textured coatings, as well as solvents and other complements, which add up to more than 600 products that are available not only in Brazil, but also in the other Mercosur countries. We’ve assured fast deliveries to retailers since the implementation of our Integrated Management System, which rapidly controls the relationship betweenmanufacturer, seller and consumer, with fully vertical inventories taking up a storage area of 10,000 square meters.
