PAINT & PINTURA
sons-in-law of Waldemar Lazzuri, a professional
extensively experienced in the automotive refinish
market, which the company eventually begin to ser-
ve, taking advantage of Mr. Lazzuri’s knowledge and
relationships in the business. “After ten years out of
business, I felt that I could come back to this market
and contribute to its development,” says Lazzuri.
Located in the town of Salto, upstate São Paulo,
Skylack’s production plant has state-of-the-art
equipment and is designed to produce 800,000 to 1
million quarter gallons per month, which was the
volume produced by Lazzuri’s old factory by the time
that he sold it to a multinational. “We’ve purchased
cutting-edge equipment, put together our own, high-
technology resins plant, and hired skilled professio-
nals for the various departments. That allowed us to
manufacture quality products which match those of
multinationals in quality at competitive prices. Then
we started contacting our customers in the automo-
tive refinish market, who received very well the new
option that we represent,” Lazzuri explains.
Working with its own technology in several product
lines and selling through salespersons and sales repre-
sentatives, Skylack has been advancing in the domestic
market and is planning on actions in several regions
to increase its market share. “We are Brazilian-based,
family-run business providing customers with top-no-
tch products and services compared to those offered by
the multinationals in our industry,” Scontre remarks.
“Skylack is now an excellent option in both quality and
price for the refinish market,” Fruet adds.

the importance of pre-salt oil to manufacturers of
coatings and adhesives, packaging materials, trans-

carbon credits, and investments in construction for
the next decade.
The plenary session will address the environmental
legislation, while the debate cycles, which will take

paint formulation and packing,” says Edson Ivaldo
Barbosa, co-owner of ETL Engenharia.
The company is focused on the paint industry and
covers all paint types, such as decorative paints, in-
dustrial and automotive coatings, and printing inks.
“Through our represented company Netzsch, we provide
dispensers and horizontal mills. In addition, we supply
high-performance three-cylinder mills that are very
popular for offset and silkscreen applications. We have
three-cylinder mills for both laboratory applications
and the production of small and large batches,” says
Barbosa, adding that ETL also provides tanks, mixers,
movable vessels and agitators for paint formulation.
In utilities, ETL Engenharia works with Refrisat to
supply chillers and cooling towers. “For environmen-
tal protection, we supply compact solvent recovery
units for installation at paint plants which utilize
the waste from paint production processes,” Barbosa
explains.
