presented to the winners
The night of the “Oscar” of the paint industry was
a major success, with the presentation of awards to
the best of 2009.
The presentation of the 14th Paint & Pintura Awar-
ds took place on May 14 at Espaço Vila dos Ipês, in

sentatives of the paint industry, and became a very

Even brighter
A
ttended by approximately 900 representatives of the paint industry, the 14th Paint & Pintura
Awards were once again presented to the best suppliers to the paint industry, paint manufactu-
rers and personalities in several categories. In this issue, you readers will be able to see all of the
details of the awards, what happened behind the scenes, who the winners were, and the best
moments of the party that took place on May 14 at Espaço Vila do Ypês, in São Paulo.
As a matter of fact, this year’s edition was even brighter. In a more casual, charming environ-
ment, the winners of the night were announced with great credibility and transparency. This is the goal that
the event organizer Agnelo Editora has set itself: to make the award presentation even better each year.
In addition, it is very rewarding for the entire Agnelo Editora team to witness the winners’ displays of thrill
and joy at the time of their announcement. At each testimony, we realize how important and meaningful these
awards are for professionals who are devoted to serving the paint market all through the year. The companies’
motivation to keep on striving to grow their business and introducing the best products, solutions and servi-
ces is a sign of an optimistic market which deserves recognition. Not to mention the desire to win the paint
industry’s “Academy Awards” again next year. All of the winners’ testimonies are also part of our coverage of
the Paint & Pintura Awards.
We believe that this year’s award presentation was even more moving and exciting, with a touch of a lot more
effort, verve and wisdom. As Agnelo Editora’s chief executive officer Agnelo de Barros Neto said in his speech,
congratulating all finalists and winners for considering this particular edition harder than all others, “com-
panies faced a year of crisis and had to use a lot of effort and creativity to overcome a period that was very
difficult to all. Everyone who’s here tonight deserves our congratulations.”
Congratulations not only to the winners of the Paint & Pintura Awards, but also all of those who survived the
2009 crisis and were able to demonstrate to the market that the growth and development of the paint industry
have only just begun!
