laboratory trainee and has held positions of incre-
asing responsibility in laboratory supervision, sales
and marketing, and then became manager of ope-
rations for the Films & Electronics division. He has
also contributed to the automotive coatings business,
where he had technical responsibilities as manager of
products, manufacturing and marketing. In addition,
Oliveira served Polidura and Renner DuPont.
Not only did Abrafati elect a new chairman, it is
currently reviewing its by-laws. “Today we officially
represent paint manufacturers and their suppliers.
With a large membership, we will further strengthen
Abrafati and gain greater recognition for the entity,”
Oliveira says.
The new management will add strength and consis-
tency to Abrafati’s main accomplishments, such as
the continuous improvement in paint quality and the
recognition of how important that is by society, the
tax relief for the industry’s products and raw mate-
rials, incentives for professional capacity building
and technological development, and its collaboration
with the related unions for the industry’s growth and
sustainability. “Our vision for the future is that we
need to stay the course of sustainability, spreading
of knowledge, construction of a positive agenda, and
expanding our institutional activity and representa-
tiveness. Those are the answers we need to provided
for the ever more complex business environment of
our value chain,” Oliveira sums up.
