ly ensures the ideal KU and ICI, prevents fillers and

eresis, among other benefits,” says Jonas José Chalita,

Production Equipment – Mills, Dispensers and
Mixers
Higher speed and efficiency
Over the past few years, there has been an increase
in demand for production equipment —mills, dis-
pensers and mixers— in the paint industry. This is
because Brazilian paint manufacturers are making
more and more efforts to innovate and find more
competitive production methods and processes. In
addition, the primary goal of all companies in the
paint industry is to enhance quality while minimizing
chances of human error, hence the growing demand
for equipment.
“Accordingly, we can say that the resulting increase in
automation makes up for the increasing shortage of
skilled, specialized professionals, contributing to cost
control across the production process. By automating
their production lines, companies can cut spending
and increase processing speeds, while reducing flaws
and considerably enhancing their end products in
both quality and excellence. I believe that the recog-
nition of the importance of automation is apparent,
as it releases resources and improves services and
process, which makes automation really and highly
advantageous,” says Junior Machado, Sales Director
at Moinho Pirâmide.
Right now, paint manufacturers are getting ready
to fill the major orders that are expected due to the
approach of the 2014 FIFA World Cut and the 2016
Olympic Games. For this reason, they understand
that automation is the best way to go and are aware
of its importance. Automation will allow them to
produce on large scale, enhance product quality,
standardize their products and reduce costs, among
other benefits.
In addition, when large companies which consume
capital goods upon order decide to expand their ca-
pacity, they recognize the importance of automation
and integrated processes at their various steps, rang-
ing from supplies to the complete manufacture of
ordered products. “In this respect, we can see clearly
that fast information transmission and data commu-
nication are essential to the manufacturing process,
as they eliminate a lot of paperwork and increase
productivity, covering all of the necessary operations
with a more appropriate, more systematic analysis.
This is key to making companies more competitive,
as their resources are optimized,” says Mast Sistemas
Tintométricos’ Technical Manager Daniel Gondelman.
Industry in the Spotlight - A story of success
February 17, 2011 saw ATA Tensoativos celebrate its
25 years of existence with friends, partners and cus-
tomers at the São Paulo Jockey Club. In an emotional
speech, director Jorge Fejfar emphasized the dedi-
cation of his family and the company’s employees,
which have led ATA Tensoativos to gain recognition
in the markets that it serves.
ATA Tensoativos’ 25th anniversary party ended in
grand style with a performance by singer Jair Rodri-
gues, who entertained the guests with his samba and
country music repertoire.
History
ATA Tensoativos was founded by a couple of young
chemists, Janice and Jorge Fejfar, who were already
in the chemical business and decided to devote their
lives, talent and work to their company, which was
established in February 04, 1986.
The actual start of the company’s production activity
happened at the family’s backyard. After the initial
orders were filled, a property was purchased on the
north side of São Paulo where ATA took the first steps
towards its lean industrial facilities and is currently
headquartered. “Those were certainly not easy times,
as only two out of 2,000 samples that we delivered
would be approved each year. Back then, the belief
prevailed that only large multinational companies
had the necessary quality and skills, but we succe-
eded in gradually enhancing our products, gaining
more customers and acquiring more processing
resources nonetheless,” says Janine Fejfar, Marketing
Coordinator at ATA Tensoativos.
Today, ATA Tensoativos serves customers in several
market segments, especially agriculture and the vet-
erinary, flexible packaging, EPS, detergent, cosmetics,
plastics, emulsion polymers, and paint and coatings
industries, always focusing on developing competitive
alternatives for their customers.
