Engaged in its mission to spread knowledge around the paint market in seve-
ral areas within the country, Agnelo Editora is holding the 5th Paint & Pin-
tura Coatings Technology and Management Forum for the Midwest Region,
which is set to take place on June 14, 2012 at Hotel Castro’s, in Goiânia,
Goiás.
For the upcoming edition, the forum will be held in Goiânia for the second
time due to the success of the 2nd Paint & Pintura Forum, which took place
in June 2011. The event had 230 registered attendees, out of whom 160 were
employees of 50 paint and coatings companies based in the region.
The Midwest Region has been proving to be a major industrial center, gene-
rating growth and business opportunities and becoming an area of para-
mount importance to Brazil’s development. In addition, the region has been
experiencing rapid growth in building and construction, including residential
and commercial projects, shopping malls, etc.
The state of Goiás is set apart in the national scenario for its large number
of local manufacturers and the significant growth that it has experienced for
the last few years.
5th Forum
For this edition, major paint companies will participate in the forum, provi-
ding high-end lectures and information on innovation and technologies for
the paint industry. The forum will also provide customers with an opportuni-
ty to interact, exchange experiences and enhance their knowledge.
Agnelo Editora would like to thank several paint companies of Greater Goiâ-
nia and other Midwestern states for their participation and support, as well
as major companies across the industry’s chain, from suppliers of raw mate-
rials through packaging makers and service providers, for their sponsorship
to the forum.
Adhesion Promoters - A Technology Indispensable to Formulation
Used in a wide variety of applications in the paint industry, adhesion promo-
ters impart important properties to paints and coatings, such as improved
adhesion and strength, which makes them essential to any formulation.
The evolution in the Brazilian market for adhesion promoters keeps pace
with the paint industry, where technologies improve, while requirements for
quality and protection on several substrates increase, making these additives
an increasingly essential requirement for any formulations. Since there are
several substrates to which paints and coatings do not adhere easily, only
adhesion promoters can solve the problem, hence the more and more rapidly
growing consumption of this type of additive.
The importance of adhesion promoters presents itself at the application of
finishing paints, when it will demonstrate the quality of the products to
which they are applied and secure end customer satisfaction. In the automo-
tive industry, for example, there is a sharply growing demand for adhesion
promoters due to the replacement of materials like metal and wood with
