the boom in Brazil’s building and construction industry and
the government incentives to increase consumption in certain

During the two-day event, visitors had the opportunity to get
in touch with key suppliers to the industry, get acquainted with
new developments, and listen to the views of experts on the
industry’s current technical and management requirements. At
the end of each lecture, attendees were allowed to ask ques-

professionals of great renown in the industry: Luiz Marinho, of
LAPM Consulting, on the 8th; and Cristina Kobal de Carvalho,
President of Radtech South America and Technical Director at
Renner Sayerlack, on the 9th.
The conference was closed with a cocktail party sponsored by
Eastman, celebrating the 50 years of its own Texanol, a product

ledging the continent-size of its country, Agnelo Editora later
started to set up regional forums in order to bring knowledge
to various locations in Brazil in a more effective way, including
by reducing costs to the companies concerned and thus making
it easier for the local people engaged in any business related to
paints, protective and other coatings, printing inks, adhesives,
glues and sealants to attend it. This was how the State of Rio
Grande do Sul was also added to the forum calendar.
Latincoat & Adhesives 2012 stood out as an important means of
introducing the professionals engaged in the markets concerned
in the region to the most innovative material and equipment
technologies through discussions, studies and lectures primarily
focused on global sustainability trends.
Agnelo Editora’s forum program for the rest of this year will
follow with two more Paint & Pintura Coatings Technology and
Management Forums, one in Vitória, Espírito Santo, on Septem-
ber 13, and one in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, on October 3 and 4.
