2012: Mission Accomplished!
At the close of this year’s program for our regional forums, Agnelo Editora is pleased with the results and celebrates the suc-
cess of these events, which have been strongly embraced by the paint industry. On the following pages, you Paint & Pintura
readers will see complete details of the last two forums, which were held in Vitória, Espirito Santo and Ribeirão Preto, São
Paulo, both in Brazil’s Southeast region, as well as photos of those who attended and participated, and their testimonies.
For a brief overview, since the first forums back in 2011, the results have consistently surprised not only Agnelo Editora,
which organizes them, but also all of the other parties involved. With each passing edition they get greater attendance, sup-
port and sponsorship from major suppliers of raw materials and equipment to the paint industry. One other factor dem-
onstrating the success achieved by all these forums is the number of registered attendees, who included professionals like
directors, technicians, chemists, sales representatives, etc. of the most important paint companies, as well as representatives
of related entities based in each region that hosted the forums, who weighed in with their support.
Just so you can get an idea, 442 people registered for the forums held in the Northeast (Fortaleza, Ceará), Midwest (Goiânia,
Goiás) and Southeast (Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro) regions during 2011. For 2012, registered individuals added up to 513
for four editions of the forum: Northeast (Fortaleza, Ceará), Midwest (Goiânia, Goiás), Southeast (Vitória, Espírito Santo),
and Southeast (Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo).
I can say most confidently that Agnelo Editora has accomplished our mission of furthering development and growth in
the coatings industry all over the country. In addition to publishing an industry magazine, Agnelo Editora, a company
committed to contributing to the market in every possible way, seeks to complement our actions with initiatives like these
forums, which arose in 2002 with Latincoat and now provide suppliers with an opportunity to get closer to their customers
in several regions of Brazil, while finding new customers and partners. The paint companies, for their part, get more and
more up-to-date on the industry’s new developments without having to get out of their own regions. These benefits are now
widely acknowledged by the industry, which is looking forward to the events that are set to take place in 2013.
The 2013 Paint & Pintura Forums will be hosted in five large industrial areas of Brazil: Recife, Pernambuco (March); Joinville,
Santa Catarina (April); Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro (June); Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul (August); and Curitiba, Paraná
(October).
Agnelo Editora hereby thanks all members of the industry —sponsors, backers, participants and registered attendees— who
contributed for these events to happen and made them a great success. We also look forward to once more having that sup-
port from the paint industry to next year’s events.
Enjoy!

Paint & Pintura Forums - Successful Close of
Year for Paint & Pintura Forums
The massive attendance at the forums held in Vitória, Es-
pírito Santo and Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, both in Brazil’s
Southeast region, demonstrates the high demand for democ-
ratization of information in the country’s various regions.
Agnelo Editora, publisher of the Paint & Pintura and Lojas
Tintas magazines, concluded its events calendar for 2012
with the Paint & Pintura Coatings Technology and Man-
agement Forums in Vitória, Espírito Santo and Ribeirão
Preto, São Paulo. This year’s previous editions were held in
Fortaleza, Ceará and Goiânia, Goiás, as well as Porto Alegre,
Rio Grande do Sul, with Latincoat & Adhesives 2012.
Attended by 87 people, the 6th Paint & Pintura Coatings
Technology and Management Forum for the Southeast
Region, in Vitória, Espírito Santo, was hosted at Golden
Tulip Hotel. In his address, Argalit director Rafael Cássaro,
who opened the forum also representing the Espírito Santo
Industries Federation, known for short as FINDES, stressed
how important the event is to encourage manufacturers
based in that state to invest in quality and innovation. “Our
state has been receiving large investments, and we should
