local application technology and on-site customer support.
The technical center in Jandira, São Paulo has been providing support
to customers and partners since 2003, assisting them in developing new
products and applications with local raw materials and according to
local climate conditions. The expansion is focused on laboratories for dis-
persible polymer powders used in processed grout, such as adhesive and
mineral sealing grout products, as well as concrete and soil applications.
The expansion of the technical center has more than tripled the space
available for testing polymeric binders. In addition, the new laboratories
are endowed with state-of-the-art equipment and instruments, which are
all compliant with international standards.
The local Wacker ACADEMY, which is the company’s training and con-
tinued education center, has been expanded as well. A new training
laboratory has been set up and equipped with cutting-edge instruments
to enable the participants in its training programs to conduct practical
exercises as a complement to their theoretical contents.
Abrafati 2013 Participants to Include World-Leading
Suppliers
Approximately 170 companies have confirmed their participation in the
13th International Exhibition of Suppliers to the Paint Industry, which
will be held in São Paulo from September 16 to 18 as part of Abrafati
2013. The number of exhibitors will be just under 250, including all of the
world’s leading suppliers that invest billions of dollars in research and
development each year, thus allowing visitors to see what is most innova-
tive in the paint and coatings value chain in one place.
To create the best possible conditions for exhibitors, the total exhibit
space for the 13th edition of the trade show has been expanded to 28,000
square meters and gained significant improvements in a new area within
Transamerica Expo Center.
Confirmed exhibitors have been showing confidence in the favorable
prospects for the paint industry over the next few years in Brazil and the
whole of Latin America. Accordingly, they view the exhibition as a great
opportunity to showcase their products and close new deals, as they will
be displaying all of their potential, exhibiting quality products, introdu-
cing innovative solutions, cementing their relationships with customers,
expanding their networking capabilities and discussing trends in techno-
logy.
The highly qualified audiences are an additional factor leading those
companies to make massive investments, so that they can set up welco-
ming environments and provide quality assistance, exhibiting thousands
of innovative products, services, technologies, solutions and developments
and thus giving paint manufacturers an opportunity to find resources
and new ideas to improve their products and processes.
Exhibitors will bring a very wide variety of new developments, allowing
visitors to get an inside view of the state of
the art in the paint industry, as well as the
paths leading to the paint of the future.
The fact that the exhibition will be held at
the same time as the International Paint
Congress will provide an additional contri-
bution in this respect, in that it will create
favorable conditions for professionals of
the industry to interact and discuss new
possibilities.
“Abrafati 2013 will play a key role in stimu-
lating scientific and technological advan-
ces, boosting the search for sustainable,
innovative solutions. At the same time, it
will provide ideal conditions for closing de-
als. Therefore, the trade show will result in
significant benefits to all participants and
visitors and make a decisive contribution to
keeping the Brazilian paint industry dyna-
mic, strong and up to date,” says Abrafati’s
chief executive officer Dilson Ferreira.
