The 17th Paint & Pintura Survey was answered by 126
paint companies and approximately 1,650 professionals
from 200 suppliers.
Over a beautiful dinner on May 3 at Vila dos Ipês, in São
Paulo, we will have the honor to present the “Oscar” of the
paint industry to 50 winners, in the presence of represen-
tatives of major companies across the paint supply chain.

by size and region, as well as the full survey report, is pro-
vided at the end of the article.
Paint & Pintura Forum in Joinville
The 9th Paint & Pintura Coatings Technology and Manage-
ment Forum for the South Region, which took place on
April 11 at Bourbon Joinville Business Hotel, in Joinville,
Santa Catarina, received important members of the paint
value chain.
Lectures on important themes for the paint industry were
delivered during the whole day. In his opening speech,
Agnelo Editora’s chief executive officer Agnelo de Barros
Neto stressed the importance of the city in the national
and regional context. “Joinville is the largest city in Santa
Catarina and has one of the highest human development
indices of all Brazilian municipalities, ranking 13th na-
tionally and 4th in the state of Santa Catarina, hence its
selection to host this event,” he said.
In the morning, the event was kicked off by a podium dis-
cussion on the theme “Industry Overview: Decorative Paint
Market in Brazil/South Region,” conducted by Agnelo Edi-
tora’s editor in chief Marcos Mila. Thereupon, a lecture on
the theme “Additive Solutions for Premium Formulations”
was delivered by Polystell’s sales manager Afonso Montiro
and quality control coordinator Raul Cazzoto, followed by
quantiQ’s presentation entitled “Practical Evaluation of To-
tal Cost of Commercial-Grade Titanium Dioxide” delivered
by Carlos Pablo Ramirez, of DuPont. The morning presenta-
tions were closed by Intertank’s lecture on “Safety, Environ-
mental and Economic Advantages of Stainless Steel IBCs in
the Paint and Chemical Industries,” which was provided by
Paulo Caetano, of the company’s new business team.
