clude acrylic resins for various niche
markets, such as road-marking, wa-
ter-based finishes, plaster, cement,
spackling and roof tiles. “Our pro-
ducts are designed with properties
specific to each of the above, such
as road-marking resins that meet
the requirements of the ABNT 13699
standard. As part of Wanol U line of
rheology modifiers, we’re launching
urethane acrylic products that provi-
de excellent leveling and
finish in high-dilution
paints. We’re also laun-
ching aqueous sodium
and ammonium polya-
crylate-based dispersing
and wetting agents, for
improved washability,
and APEO-free wetting
agents. In addition, we
have new TiO
2
extenders
from W. Filler for wa-
ter- and solvent-based
synthetic finishes,” says
director and co-owner
Adriano Petrone.
Wana Química works
persistently towards
improving its products,
with a view to meeting
customer requirements
at al l t imes . “We ’ re
always engaged in the development
of new technologies to meet the in-
creasingly strict requirements of the
paint and coating industry,” Petrone
concludes.
WWP
WWP is a supplier of high value-
-added vinyl resins. “The experience
we have gained over the past several
years controlling the Vinisol produc-
tion process allows WWP to develop,
in partnership with our customers,
resins that are better fit to impart
efficiency to their processes. In 2012,
WWP entered into a partnership
with Kaneka Corporation, a famous
Japanese petrochemical company,
which involves technology transfer
and selling the Vinisol line,” says
market development manager Thia-
go Spedo.
Vinisol is a line of vinyl resins fe-
aturing excellent solubility in a
variety of organic solvents, clarity,
high gloss and outstanding finish.
“The Vinisol line consists of three
products: Vinisol WPHH, a vinyl
chloride and vinyl acetate copoly-
mer, for application in vinyl paints,
printing and silkscreen inks, cardbo-
ard adhesives and blister packaging
adhesives; the Vinisol WPOH hydro-
xypropyl acrylate, vinyl acetate and
vinyl chloride terpolymers for appli-
cation shoe dyes, wood primers and
wash primers for plastic auto parts;
and the Vinisol WPCH mono-butyl
maleate, vinyl acetate and vinyl
chloride terpolymers for application
in food-contact blister packaging
adhesives, printing inks for metal
substrates and adhesives for faste-
ning systems. We are also stressing
the launch of the WPCA carboxyl-
-functional terpolymer, which is de-
signed especially for pharmaceutical
blister packaging materials,” Spedo
announces.

Yser’s quarter century
of existence. “Recogni-
zed as a dynamic pro-
ducer of pitch resins for
adhesives, Yser banks on
the printing ink market,
which has been showing
increasingly positive
results over the past
few years. And 2013 is
another milestone in
our history of growth,
development and inno-
vation, as we introduce
a line of varnishes for
