The opening speech was followed by technical lectures, start-
ing with Lonza Brazil’s presentation on “Innovation and Sus-
tainability in Paint Preservation,” provided by Daniel Andrade,
of Lonza Brazil’s technical service. Then came Wana Química
with the lecture “Urethane Acrylic Rheology Modifiers,”
delivered by executive director Walmir Lopes, technical sales
director Ronaldo Pio, andNortheast branch executive director
Adriano Petrone.
Closing themorning program, Imerys Itatex’s Leandro Bizarro
da Rocha, manager, R&D and Innovation, presented the lec-
ture entitled “Mineral-Based Multifunctional Additives and
Performance Enhancement in Different Properties.”
In the afternoon, Netzsch’s lecture “Omega, an Efficient, Cost-
Effective Dispersion” was delivered by its business director
Giuliano Albiero, followed by M.Cassab’s “Pentaerythritol
and Its New Developments for the Marketplace,” presented
by Walter Fazzio, manager, Coatings, Resins & Construction
business unit.
The last lecture for the day, entitled “Carbon Blacks
Featuring Exceptional Performance in Medium-Color
Coating,” was provided by Birla Carbon-Columbian’s
technical service coordinator Marcos MilheiroMachado.
To kick off day two of the forum, a podium discussion
on the theme “What Successful Businesses Are Doing
to Sell More and Better – Trust Relationships in Practice”
was conducted by Claudio Digo, director at Tekoare and
consultant on sales and consumption.
The day’s technical lectures beganwithMakeni’s “Evonik
Paint & Coating Products,” delivered by Ana Sturaro,
regional sales manager, Coating & Additives, followed
by Allnex’s “NewUV Curing Solutions and Technologies,”
presented by Paulo Roberto Vieira Jr., PhD, technical
coordinator for South America.
Wacker was next with the presentation “Vinnapas VAE
Dispersions for Low-Environmental-Impact Premium
Decorative Paints,” provided by lecturer RicardoGouveia,
