andhasbeengrowingconsistentlyeversince.

looking for a partner who could consolidate

The28thChemists’Dinner,which tookplace inJulyatRestauranteFlo-
restal, inSãoBernardodoCampo,SãoPaulo,brought together leading
personalities of the paint and coatings industry, including the event’s
first organizers. The annual dinnerwas originally for Sherwin-Williams
executives.With its success, itwas later extended to all professionals
in thepaint industry.
Atthe latestedition,DubuitPaint’smanufacturingmanagerValterVasti
gaveadetailedaccountofhow itall startedand the importanceof this
dinner function. “I’vebeen attending since thefirst dinner. Originally,
wewouldbringtogetherthechemistswhoworkedatSherwin-Williams,
whowereme, Amauri Campos de Sousa, LuisManuel Mota, and the
lateEdsonRodriguezBezerra. The invitationwas eventuallyextended
tootherpeers.Thisdinnerbegan28yearsagoandwasheldveryoften.
Asparticipantsstartedbringingguests, thenumberofpeople increased
a lot. Sowe startedhaving it justonceayear.”
