asthe“Oscar”ofthecoatings industry.
The Paint &Pintura Surveywas answeredby professionals
acrosstheindustry,whovotedforthebestsuppliersofrawma-
terials,paintmanufacturersandpersonalitiesoftheyear2015.

Themagazine for thismonth is also filledwith news on
important events that took place in themonthofMarch.
Thefirstofthemwasthe23rdPaint&PinturaForumforthe
NortheastRegion,whichwasheldforthefourthtime inFor-
taleza,onMarch2and3.As inallpreviouseditions,theevent
wasagreatsuccess,withcontributionsfrom16ofthemost
importantcompaniesintheindustry,whopresentedlectures
on themost innovative technologiesunder thesun, aswell
as182registeredattendees,demonstratingtheNortheastern
market’sgreat interest innewdevelopments.
Another extremely important event was Ebdquim (short
in Portuguese for BrazilianMeeting of Chemical and Pe-
trochemical Distributors), organizedby Associquim (short
in Portuguese for Brazilian Association of Chemical and
Petrochemical Distributors). Already in its 8th edition this
year,andbackinBahia,theeventtookplacebetweenMarch
9 and 11 ina scenerybeyondperfection, aparadiseby the
nameofTroncoso,Bahia.Theprogramforthe8thEbdquim
comprisedtop-notch lecturespresentedbydistributorsand
personalities of renown in the chemical supply chain. The
meeting repeated thesuccessof itspreviouseditions,with
around 120attendees. Paint&PinturaMagazinewas there
toconductacompletecoverageandaspecial interviewwith
RubensMedrano,presidentofAssociquim.
Sintirj (short inPortuguese forUnionof PaintManufacturers in
theCityofRiodeJaneiro), too,held itsawardpresentationcere-
mony in themonthofMarchatClubedaAeronáutica, inRiode
Janeiro, whichwas attendedby 150 industry professionals and
representatives of related associations. The entity honored the
“Best Suppliersof the year” in the following categories: Resins,
Emulsions, Pigments, Fillers& Extenders, Thickeners, Additives,
Biocides,MetalPackaging,Non-MetalPackaging,ChemicalDistri-
bution,Solvents,CompanyoftheYear,andPersonalityoftheYear.

Andnow,anticipatingthenewstocome,Paint&Pinturabringsyou
apreviewof theAmericanCoatingsShow (ACS),whichwill take
placeonApril11through13attheIndianaConventionCenter, inIn-
dianapolis,IN(USA),whereitisexpectedtobringtogetheraround
480exhibitorsandmorethan8,700visitors from69countries. It
isconsideredoneof thegrandest tradeshows inNorthAmerica
fortheadhesive,sealantandcoatings industries.
In addition to those important events, issue 209 also features
reportsonchemicaldistributionand tintingsystems, aswell asa
special interviewwithFreddyCarrillo,presidentofTintasSherwin-
-WilliamsdoBrasil.

ThisyearSherwin-Williamsiscelebratingthe150thyearofitshis-
toryintheworld,havingBrazilasanextremelyimportantcountry
for itsbusiness.Currently,thecompanyhasfourplants inBrazil,
