CLIPPING 6 | PAINT&PINTURA | Maio 2019 PAINT & PINTURA AWARDS THE GREAT WINNER OF THE PAINTING OSCAR In its 23rd edition, the Paint & Pintura Awards are honoring 39 suppliers of raw materials, eight paint companies, and six personalities of the year in the paint and coatings industry, totaling 53 categories. Known as the “Oscar night” of the industry, the 23rd Paint & Pintura Awards ceremony is taking place on May 10, 2019 at Espaço Vila dos Ipês, in São Paulo (Brazil). Representatives of paint companies and all major suppliers to the industry will be in attendance, as will influencers and leaders of industry associations. One of the most prestigious categories is “Master Company,” in which the winner is elected by the sum of citations in different cate- gories and the points scored in each. It was introduced to honor the company that boasted the largest product mix among the various surveyed categories in the previous year, as a token of recognition for hard work that has been done in several segments of the paint and coatings industry. The Paint & Pintura Awards are presented to winners in 39 cate- gories for suppliers, eight for paint companies in the Automotive OEM, Automotive Refinish, UV-Curing Paints and Coatings, Powder Now our awards are going national. In this issue, Agnelo Editora, the organizer of the grand “Oscar night” of the paint and coatings industry, unveils the winners of the 23rd Paint & Pintura Awards. So, dear readers, get ready to learn more about all paint companies, suppliers and business people nominated as finalists by our survey and to find out who the winners are, and by how much, in each category. With great recognition in the industry, the Paint & Pintura Awards are presented to winners in 53 categories, 39 of whi- ch for suppliers of raw materials, eight for paint companies, and six for personalities of the year. The award presentation ceremony is taking place in the evening of May 10, 2019 at Espaço Vila dos Ipês, in the city of São Paulo, where it is brin- ging together people from across the coatings supply chain, including leading makers and suppliers, as well as industry personalities and leaders of related entities like Abrafati, Associquim-Sincoquim, Sindiquímica Ceará, Sintirj, and Siti- vesp. One other noticeable event that has just taken place was the 41st Paint & Pintura Coatings Technology and Management Forum in the South Region, which was held on April 11, 2019 at Bourbon Joinville Business Hotel, in Joinville, Santa Catarina. The forum got industry representatives together for profi- table discussions and to introduce new product and service developments from key companies like Covestro, MCassab, the MAST Group, and Brenntag. Two panels were held during the forum which had been gre- atly anticipated by attendees. The first was a panel with paint industry CEOs, who discussed pathways for the industry, the management challenges facing it, and new business oppor- tunities for the next decade. The second panel, for its part, was formed by technical leaders and addressed the theme “NewDevelopments, Innovations and Trends in Products and Applications.” Both panels were attended by people of great renown in Brazil’s South region. This issue includes our full coverage of all lectures that were in the program for the event. Slated to take place in June is the 42nd Paint &Pintura Coatings Technology andManagement Forum in the Southeast Region, whose host city will be Vitória, in the state of Espírito Santo, which has a significant concentration of major Brazilian-based paint manufacturers and whose ongoing development has been drawing massive investments. Agnelo Editora is going to carry on with our calendar of foru- ms over the second half of 2019. For the August edition, the forum will be hosted by Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. In September, the forumwill be held in Curitiba, Paraná. Last but not least, in November, the host city will be Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo.
