CLIPPING 8 | PAINT&PINTURA | Agosto 2019 In the opinion of Colornet officer Marcos Raicher, there will be a resumption of growth in the second half and the key is to work strongly on the planning of imports and the balancing of inventories, serving customers in the agreed deadlines. “The serious accidents in pigment and other rawmaterial factories that have occurred this year in Chinamake our task evenmore challenging, and there are still doubts about the future of manufacturing, with some pigments that may disappear from the market,” Raicher concludes. In 2013, a new, state-of-the-art research and development laboratory was built, with a team dedicated to new technologies, raw materials, processes and products. Later on, in 2017, we kicked off our polyester resins project, which has yielded very significant growth, as we do business on the market for composites for building and construction, infrastructure and the auto industry. That same year, we star- ted the production of paraffin emulsions, used in the paints and coatings industries, among other markets. In addition, it was also in 2017 that we won the first Paint & Pintura Award, in the emulsion category, and since then we’ve been winning every year, totaling seven awards.” MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT - REPRESENTATION WITH QUALITY AND EFFICIENCY Mastro Química stands out in the sector for acting throughout Brazil in the sale of laboratory and production equipment and, only in theSouth region, in themarketingof rawmaterials, while exporting rawmaterials from Brazil to all Mercosur countries. The history of the Mastro Química began in the year 2001, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, whose founder Alejandro Mastronardi, who since his adolescence back in the 1970’s has worked in his father’s paint factory called Pintcol, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, gained extensive experience and kno- wledge in the formulation and application of paints. “However, in 1992, Pintcol was sold to Sayerlack and from then on my dad has come toBrazil and settled inPortoAlegre, wherehe created Mastro Química,” says chief executive Stefano Mastronardi. We began the expansion of busi- ness to Latin America through direct sales of our represented company Indent and resale of Brazilian raw materials to the foreign market. One of our first foreign operations was with acrylic styrene emulsions fromDenver Resins. Since then, the foreignmarket has become ourmain focus,” saysMastronardi.
