The GT1 is not only the sturdiest device in the world, but also the safest as it is the only one to achieve IECEx/ATEX Zone 0 certification.” IPEL In the next edition of Abrafati, Ipel will present, in addition to its traditional line of microbicides for wet state preservation and dry film, its newest line of wood additives, the line of special additives with products that give antimicrobial and anti-mite action to the dry film of the coatings, besides the alternative line of wet state preservatives to the use of BIT (1.2 benzoisothiazolinone), discloses Luiz Wilson Pereira Leite, Director of Marketing and International Business. “The Ipel Prowood line innovates the industry with additives that provide specific finish properties such as paints, coats, stains, etc. Among the products we highlight the Ipel Prowood HR100, developed to be used in finishing and wood protection formulations, giving them excellent resistance to humidity and dimensional stability to the substrate.” In turn, the line of special additives adds coating functional differentials providing new claims and adding value to products, says Leite. “Coatings can reduce the presence of bacteria on applied surfaces by up to 99.9% and reduce the mite population, helping minimize the circulation of disease-transmitting vectors and contributing to cleaner and healthier environments. The use of these additives replaces the traditional fungicides without losing this important protection. In the face of global scarcity, we will also present alternatives to using BIT for preservation of alkaline systems in wet state, and/or subjected to high temperatures. We canmention Ipel BP-537 and the ISOBIT line, which can replace the traditional preservatives based on this rawmaterial whose availability is currently very limited.”
