INEOS Pigments - the word for TiO2. INKMAKER Once again Inkmaker will be present at Abrafati 2019, featuring the best in dosage systems for paints, coatings, pigments and additives, says Latin America Director Fernando Itaziki. “With a global presence, four production units around the world and strategic partnerships (such as the also Italian IEC+), Inkmaker will present solutions for complete automation of paint factories.” INTERBRASIL Interbrasil’s main paint product is titanium dioxide. “We acknowledge that each market and each type of paint requires different TiO2 fea- tures. Thus, aiming at satisfying every clients’ needs, Interbrasil works with titanium dioxides which are specific for the following industries and applications: food grade, ceramics, cosmetics, masterbatches, papers, plastics, personal care products, textiles, water and solvent- -based paints, as well as multipurpose titanium that can serve these and other sectors,” informs Fernando Andrukiu, Marketing and Market Intelligence Manager. Andrukiu also points out that the quality of his company’s complete TiO2 line is recognized and proven by customers. “Our customers have elected us for four consecutive years ‘the best titanium dioxide distributor in the country with the Paint & Pintura Award.’ We are the only 100% Brazilian company and the only distributor among the winners in this category.” INTERTANK Intertank will present the following news to its customers: a collapsible container and GT1. “The collapsible container is made of enginee- ring plastic with pressure-absorbing flexible walls, has a capacity of 1250 liters and a tare weight of 73 kg. It has FDA-compliant FSSC 22000 certification, and is GFSI recognized. Working with internal Liner, it is easy to operate. It is noteworthy that the cassette-shaped three-layer LLDPE bags for quick/easy use, patented inner bag geometry, and irradiated PE, EVOH, metallized,” announces Onshore Division Manager Henri Gonçalves. The versatile GT1 performs its monitoring job in places that are too challenging for other GPS devices, Gonçalves says. “The sturdy metallic frame and hermetically resistant construction seals the inner electronic system, providing lasting protection from outside temperatures, impacts and chemicals. The GT1 is not only the sturdiest device in the world, but also the safest as it is the only one to achieve IECEx/ATEX Zone 0 certification.” IPEL In the next edition of Abrafati, Ipel will present, in addition to its traditional line of microbicides for wet state preservation and dry film, its newest line of wood additives, the line of special additives with products that give antimicrobial and anti-mite action to the dry film of the coatings, besides the alternative line of wet state preservatives to the use of BIT (1.2 benzoisothiazolinone), discloses Luiz Wilson Pereira Leite, Director of Marketing and International Business. “The Ipel Prowood line innovates the industry with additives that provide specific finish properties such as paints, coats, stains, etc. Among the products we highlight the Ipel Prowood HR100, developed to be used in finishing and wood protection formulations, giving them excellent resistance to humidity and dimensional stability to the substrate.” In turn, the line of special additives adds coating functional differentials providing new claims and adding value to products, says Leite. “Coatings can reduce the presence of bacteria on applied surfaces by up to 99.9% and reduce the mite population, helping minimize the circulation of disease-transmitting vectors and contributing to cleaner and healthier environments. The use of these additives replaces the traditional fungicides without losing this important protection. In the face of global scarcity, we will also present alternatives to using BIT for preservation of alkaline systems in wet state, and/or subjected to high temperatures. We canmention Ipel BP-537 and the ISOBIT line, which can replace the traditional preservatives based on this rawmaterial whose availability is currently very limited.”
