genated solvents and VOC-free
solvents.
For resin producers, in addition to
the traditional aromatic hydrocar-
bon solvents, Unipar provides the
Unisol R line of specialty aromatic
solvents, with different distillation
ranges. For manufacturers of adhe-
sives, the company provides several
raw materials, such as the EVA
petrochemical resin, the VAM mono-
mer, a range of rubbers, traditional
solvents (hexane, toluene, SPB) and
specialty solvents (cyclohexane and
TBAC).
The Unilene hydrocarbon resins,
traditionally used in the production
of paints and adhesives, have not
only increased in production this
year to meet all of the demand in
the marketplace, but also received a
new tablet format, which is subject
to less compactation when packed.
Unipar has stood out for developing
and supplying the market with sol-
vents blends from its Taylor-Made
Blends line, to which the company
applies all of its experience to deve-
lop unique products for customer-
specific needs.
Viana Química
Aiming to always innovate at Abra-
fati 2009, Viana Química is brin-
ging to the paint industry the VQ
200 wetting agent for water-based
coatings, which makes the pigment
easy to disperse for a better color
development, improves the compa-
tibility between pigment and base,
prevents foaming, improves sprea-
ding etc.
Viana Química will also introduce
the Alcalox MS alkaline additive,
which replaces ammonia and ami-
nes in water-based formulations,
while providing everyone, from
applicators to end consumers, with
the major advantage of having no
odor.
Wacker
Wacker will be introducing se-
veral products, such as the HDK
fumed silica, the Geniosil silanes
for water-based formulations, the
SREP silicone resin-based coating in
emulsion, and VAE dispersions, such
as Vinnapas 315, 320 and 400, whi-
ch are used in the adhesive industry,
Vinnapas 426 and 920, with carbo-
xylic functionality and outstanding
performance on demanding subs-
trates, Vinnapas 465 and 7200 for
fast curing, Vinnapas EP1400, for
replacing plasticized homopolymers,
and the Vinnol line of ethylene/vinyl
chloride copolymers.
The company will also introduce the
Vinnapas VAE dispersions for deco-
rative coatings. From its Vinnapas
and Vinnol lines, Wacker provides
high-performance, solvent-free and
VOC-free VAE dispersions.
Other products to be introduced by
Wacker at the trade show include
Geniosil STP-E, a fast-curing hybrid
adhesive used in more sophisticated
adhesive formulations, Geniosil N, a
product that comes ready for use on
highly resilient sealants and even
high-strength adhesives, and Srep
BS 45, a silicone resin-based coating
in emulsion.
Wana Química
Wana Química will be exhibiting
products from its represented
companies. Highlights include the
Wanpex-S sodium polyacrylate, the
Wanpex-A ammonium polyacrylate,
the Wanpex-PM polymaleate, the
Wanol A and Wanol U rheology mo-
difiers, the Wanesp thickeners for
mortars and textured coatings, the
Reogel modified rheological clays
for coatings, the Fortgel bentonites
for textured coatings, the Wanfoam
environment-friendly defoamers,
the Wansoll low-odor coalescent
agents, the Wancoat paraffin
emulsion, the Wancell high-viscosity
CMC, the Wanbac/Wanfug bac-
tericides, fungicides e algaecides,
and the Filler-W specialty mineral
additives.
Wana Química’s represented compa-
nies are Manchester, Disamtex, and
Solofino/Cibracal.
WTech
WTech Indústria Química kicked off
its manufacturing activities in 2003,
and has done an innovative, revolu-
tionary work in the market in resins
and additives for paints, coatings,
ceramics and textiles.
With its comprehensive product
range, WTech stands out for
producing a wide range of resins
with acrylic emulsions, thickeners,
rheology modifiers and alkyd resins,
while distributing outstanding qua-
lity solvents and raw materials to
paint manufacturers.
The company relies on a team of
experienced, highly skilled professio-
nals to provide customers with top
quality products. WTech’s ongoing
efforts to keep up high quality
standards eared it an ISO 9001:2000
certification, validating its evolu-
tionary process and improvement
efforts, while further improving the
quality of its services.
WWP – World Wide
Partnership
World Wide Partnership will stress
at the trade show its Vinisol line of
vinyl resins, which are highly solu-
ble in a variety of organic solvents,
especially MEK and MIBK, making
them a superior choice compared
to conventional vinyl copolymers.
Solutions formulated with Vinisol
resins feature high transparency,
high gloss and outstanding finish
on the end product.
The Vinisol line consists of three
types of resins: Vinisol H, a vinyl
chloride and vinyl acetate copoly-
mer resin for application in vinyl
paints, silkscreen printing inks,
cardboard adhesives and blisters;
Vinisol OH, a vinyl chloride, vinyl
acetate and hydroxypropyl acryla-
te terpolymer for PVC or PU shoe
paints, printing inks for leather,
paper and plastics, primers for
wood and furniture, and plastic
auto part coatings; and Vinisol
COOH, a vinyl chloride, vinyl aceta-
te and monobutyl maleate terpoly-
mer for food blisters, packaging
printing inks, printing inks for
metallic parts, and adhesives for
clamps and cables.
