company has renamed all other
products by category, such as
Standard Enamel, Standard Oil-
-Based Paint, and Thin-Set Mor-
tar. The economy line has been
renamed Unilar, and includes the
Economy Acrylic.
To make the change more visible
to consumers, the product con-
tainers gained new colors: the
premium packaging has a golden
background, and the standard
packaging silver. “Initially, this
change bolsters Universo Tintas’
image, which has always been
stronger than our trademarks. In
addition, they make it easier for
consumers to recognize the pro-
duct type that they are looking
for. In other words, it improves
the communication between the
parties,” Carla explains.

For the next few years, the world
development will be led by emer-
ging economies, particularly Bra-
zil, China and India, as developed
countries like the United States
and several others in Europe are
growing very slowly and still
facing crisis. In addition, major
events will be held in Brazil, such
as the 2014 FIFA World Cup and
the 2016 Olympic Games, which
