“Our company has skilled experts operating with cutting-edge technology to research and
develop products aiming at full customer satisfaction. We have two other plants conveniently
located in São José dos Pinhais, in the metropolitan area of Curitiba, Paraná, and in São Se-
bastião do Passe, metropolitan area of Salvador, Bahia, which makes us the largest paraffin
emulsion manufacturer in all of Latin America. We also own a distribution center in the
town of Ananideua, Pará, and the freight company Isogama, which specializes in transpor-
ting liquid cargo,” says sales supervisor Fabiana Padilha.
More than 60,000 tons of products are manufactured and distributed each year all through
Brazil and Latin America to the company’s customers in the leather, wood, paint and coatin-
gs, paper, building and construction, textile, metallurgical, candle, pharmaceutical, food and
other industries. “The experience and technical improvement of our personnel demonstrate
our company’s profile as a supplier of services and products that are synonymous with ex-
cellence, affordability, cutting-edge technology and safety, including to the environment. We
have more than 200 employees,” Fabiana says.
The main milestones in the company’s history were the opening of its Paraná site in 1987, the
opening of the Bahia site, Isogama’s expansion to export markets in 2005, and the opening
of a resin plant in 2009. “Over these 25 years of history, Isogama has overcome a number of
market crises, always investing in new products and technologies for the chemical industry
and doing business with ethics and environmental responsibility. In addition, since our latest
capital investment was resin plant, the Isogama group plans to expand our business units
and production sites over the next few years,” Fabiana points out.
Industry in the Spotlight - Assistance with Equipment and Services
Braseq started its activities on May 15, 1987 in São Paulo as a supplier of equipment for
water and effluent controlling equipment. “From the outset, we developed our technical team
and distinguished ourselves with gauging and maintenance services. In 1989, we started
representing Brookfield Engineering Laboratories, a company specializing in viscosity measu-
rement and rheology. The, as early afterwards as 1990, we had to expand our facilities, esta-
blishing our new headquarters in the South zone of São Paulo,” says Braseq’s chief executive
officer Wladir Caetano Scilla.
The company developed in a rather groundbreaking fashion its provision of mobile services
on customer sites with the same resources and quality as those found at its workshop. Then,
it kicked off intensive technical support efforts, restoring to optimum measuring condition
viscosity meters that until then was disposed of due to the lack of proper servicing. “With our
vast knowledge and the reliability of the services that we provide, Braseq gained more and
more customers in the Brazilian market and increased its equipment sales. In 1992, we began
to expand our sales representation portfolio, eventually representing ten companies that
supply customers in several niche markets with equipment for various parameters,” Scilla
points out.
In April 2002, with a view to optimizing its business, Braseq decided to relocate its headquar-
ters to the municipality of Jarinu, São Paulo, positioning itself to enjoy a better quality of life
and fast access to airports and highways. “Based in Jarinu for ten years now, Braseq curren-
tly employs around 50 people and keeps a number of sales representatives in several states to
ensure a nationwide service. As representatives of colorimeters and spectrophotometers from
Hunterlab, we firmly established ourselves in the paint and coatings industry, where our
service is bolstered by gloss meters, appearance and film formation testing instruments from
Rhopoint. In 2011, we innovated by bringing to Brazil’s paint and coatings industry Isocolor
and its color matching software,” says Scilla.
