trend towards environmentally friendlier materials and keeps pace
with the growth of the paint industry in general. For this reason,
there are bright prospects for the defoamer market, especially
due to the development of the building and construction industry,
which consumes more than half of all paints produced and where
growth favors the expansion of the demand for decorative paints.
One other growth market is that for printing inks, especially wa-

which, combined with their environmental appeal, has a strong
impact on the defoamer business.
The production of specialty paints with enhanced performance and
for increasingly differentiated applications also creates growth
prospects in the paint market, eventually influencing the demand
for defoamers.
