AkzoNobel, through its Iguatu divi-
sion, which is recognized for its exper-
tise in solvent-based resins, especially
alkyd ones, and has been engaged in
the chemical business for more than
20 years, will be present once again
in this new edition of Abrafati. “While
our portfolio comprises a wide range
of cutting-edge resins manufacturers
of decorative paints and automotive,
plastic, wood and industrial coatin-
gs, our resins can also be customized
based on our way of viewing each
customer as though it were the only
one,” says sales manager Cássia Re-
gina Pereira.
The company will introduce two new
high-solids resins during the trade
show. “This new technology will im-
prove the drying performance of end
products with low-VOC formulations
that address environmental sustai-
nability issues, meeting the related
requirements of both ABNT (Brazilian
Technical Standards Association) and
Abrafati standards applicable to our
customers’ finish systems,” Cássia
remarks.
Aldoro
Aldoro will introduce the new deve-
lopments from its Stanlux range of
metallic pigments during Abrafati
2013, especially the new additions
to the Stanlux Silver line. “Although
our work is still focused on providing
technical support to our international
customers and representatives with
a view to further improving the solid
partnerships we have struck over the
years, we are also on the lookout for
new business development opportu-
nities,” says sales manager Antonio
Labecca Filho.
The trade show represents one more
opportunity for the company to sho-
wcase its product range. “We have the
Stanlux Silver line of high-performan-
ce, non-leafing aluminum pastes for
use in automotive coatings, plastics,
auto parts and industrial coatings
with high metallic effect. New addi-
tions have been made to this line in
order to provide customers with more
options in high-quality products. We
also have Stanlux Paste, a comprehen-
sive family of leafing and non-leafing
aluminum pastes for general use, the
Stanlux Gold line of bronze powders,
available in a wide variety of grain
sizes, in the traditional rich gold, pale
rich gold and pale gold colors. Other
specialties to be on display at the
show include the Stanlux Hydro alu-
minum pastes, which are compatible
with waterborne systems, the Stanlux
Pell aluminum pellets, specifically
designed for use in masterbatches,
the Stanlux Flake lamellar aluminum
powders, and the Stanlux Pell Gold
bronze pellets, specifically designed
for use in printing inks,” Labecca Filho
points out.

stresses AlbertoMatera, sales director,
Latin America.
In the UV curing field, new develop-
ments are on display from the Ebe-
cryl and Ucecoat lines, designed for
high-solids or water-based systems
for application on several substrates,
such as metals, plastics and glass.
“Also in the spotlight are the Beckopox,
Resydrol, Macrynal and Daotan resins
for air-cured, water-based architectu-
ral, wood and protective coatings. Our
broad product range is complemented
by the Cymel melamine resins and the
Additol and Modaflow additive lines,”
Matera points out.
