on thisproject thatcombinedallof theadvantagesofcorrugated
cardboard packaging with high resolution offset printing. Our
packagingprovides several competitive advantageswhich allow
our customers to strengthen theirproductsand, asa result, their
brands,”Gallardoassures.

HERO isgoing tomanufacturemachinesdomesticallyat itsnew
address.
By themiddle of the year, HERO LatinAmericawill startmanu-
facturing twomachines 100-percentdomestically. TheA100and
A200dispenserswill beentirelyBrazilian-made.
Sincetheywillbemanufactured insidetheborders, themachines
will be soldat lowerpricesanddeliveredwithin shorterperiods.
Once the local manufacturing activity is firmly established, the
company intends to increase its salesby 10 to 15percent.
Tohavea larger,moreappropriatemanufacturingspaceandbet-
ter logistics,HEROdecidedtochange itsaddress.“Currently,our
site is located inDiademaandhasabuilt-upareaof 1,000square
meters, 850ofwhich takenupby theproductionplant, and 150
servingasofficespace,”saysHERO’sdirectorDanielGondelman.
At thenewaddress, HEROwill have the characteristicsof apro-
ductionplan,withanassembly lineandmoremanufacturingthan
marketing.“Accordingly,weneedanappropriateproductionand
assembly space. For a plant, Diadema ismore appropriate than
our former location inSantoAndré,” saysGondelman.
“The A100 is the smallest automatic dispenser on themarket.
It isdesigned tobemountedover the counter, butwealsopro-
videaversionwithapedestal. Thenew lids for paint containers
deliverbetter sealing in lineswherenew, low-VOCcolorantsare
required, andwealsoprovideanautomatichumidifying lidwith
further improves the seal ondispensingnozzles. Both theA100
and theA200employHERO’snewdispensing technology,which
comprisesaprogressivecavitypump.With it,
wecanprovidethefirsttruly low-maintenance
automatic colorant dispenser,” Gondelman
pointsout.
Because themachineswill bemade inBrazil,
Gondelmanalso informsthattheywillbesold
at lowerprices.“Byat least 14percent,which
correspondstothe importtax.Anothermajor
advantage is that we’re going to secure a
certificateofdomesticorigin for theproduct,
whichwillmakefinancingpackagesmuchbet-
tertoourcustomers,whowillhave 12,24and
even 36months tofinishpaying. In addition,
wewant todepend less and lesson imports.
Customerswill geta faster response, andwill
not depend on containerswhich often sit at
the port or customs for long periods. The
equipmentwill reachthestoremorequickly.”
