For Abrafati 2015, UBE Latin America is bringing its
polycarbonate diol, recognized as a new generation
of polyols. “It is a linear polyol for high performance
polyurethaneapplications thatallows theproductionof
a high-durability end product that cannot be achieved
using justpolyestersorpolyethers.Thenewpolyolallows
formulators to produce high-durability polyurethanes
with increased heat, oil, weathering and hydrolysis re-
sistance, delivering enhanced performance compared
to conventional polyols, such as polyester or polyether
polyols.This isduetothepresenceofacarbonategroup,
which is chemicallymore stable than the other groups
mentioned,” says FernandoMantovani, sales represen-
