inCuritiba,Paraná (Brazil).
Attheopeninglecturefortheplenarysession,titled“Brazil’s
ChangingPaintMarket”anddeliveredby FranciscoRácz,
co-owner of the consultingfirmRácz, Yamaga&Associates, a
reviewof themarketplacewasproposed involvingadiscussion
aboutthefocusonfiguresandtheir impactonmarketpositions
and industrialproductivity.The lecturealsowentontoreviewing
projectionsforthefutureandthepotentialforarevolution inthe
competitiveenvironment.

lecture titled “Rheology Applied to Solving Typical Decorative
PaintProblems,”providedbyCarlosRamiro,applicationmanager
forLatinAmerica.
Lunchwasfollowedby“LanxessInorganicPigments:Qualityand
Sustainability,” the theme for the lecturedeliveredbyNitemar
Vieira,ofLanxess’Product&BusinessDevelopmentteam.
NextwasAnaPaulaAlonsoCardoso,technicalassistantforpaints
and coatings at Covestro, whose presentation addressed the
theme“PolyurethaneandPolyasparticCoatings: Efficiencyand
AdvantagesofLow-VOCSystems.”
The lecture titled“CarbonoQuímicaasaBusinessPartner”was
presentedbyCarbono’sCarbonSolventsbusinessunitmanager
GersonBortolette.
Anotherthemecoveredattheforumwas“VoluntaryCertification
ofCoatings forBuildingandConstructionunder INMETROOrdi-
nance529/2015,”forthe lecturedeliveredbyRobertaChamusca,
MetrologyandQualityexecutiveanalyst at INMETRO (short in
Portuguese forNational InstituteofMetrology).
Closingtheforum,“Scope,LegislationandImpactofGHS,MSDS
andLabelingRequirements”wasthethemeforapresentationby
Intertox technical director FabricianoPinheiro,whoexpatiated
onthescopeof theUN’s (UnitedNations)GloballyHarmonized
SystemofClassificationandLabelingofChemicals (GHS).
Uponconclusionofthe lecturepresentations,theMASTGroup
drew lots for a FordCup and an extender. Thewinnerswere
