especially designed to improve
the adhesion of epoxy systems to
several metal substrates, such as
sandblasted steel, aluminum, and
also on glass.
Cabot
During Abrafati 2011, in addition
to its well-known range of carbon
blacks, Cabot is going to highlight
its Emperor line, to which Empe-
ror 1800 for waterborne automo-
tive coatings has been recently
added. “This technology delivers
excellent dispersion, making the
product a virtually self-dispersible
pigment. The Cab-O-Sil line of fu-
med silicas features thyrotrophic,
pigment and filler anti-settling
and anti-slip properties, as well
as improved flow an application,
enhanced mechanical properties,
and better adhesion,” says Léa
Sgai, Cabot’s Marketing and Te-
chnical Service Manager for Latin
America.
Cabot also provides the SpectrAl
line of fumed silicas, which pro-
vide greater abrasion resistance,
and better adhesion and gloss for
some compounds, while acting
as a protective, matting and flow
agent for powder systems. “We
also have the Cab-O-Jet line of
waterborne dispersions for inkjet
printers, available in black, ma-
genta, cyan and yellow, which de-
livers superior print performance,
stability, durability and flexibility
for the inkjet ink developer. The
latest addition to our product
range, which will be covered by
a lecture during the Congress, is
the Enova line of aerogel additives
which provides excellent ther-
mal insulation properties, matte
finish, superior corrosion resis-
tance thanks to its high hydro-
phobic nature, high porosity, as
the product consists of 95-percent
air, and a broad range of service
temperatures,” Léa stresses.
Celanese
Celanese Emulsion Polymers is in-
troducing the most innovative line
of VEA (vinyl-acetate-ethylene)
emulsions for the Brazilian and
Latin American markets. “Ecovae
is a superior, totally waterborne
technology for formulating truly
environment- and user-friendly
decorative paints. Ecovae allows
