aboutbettergrowthprospectsforLubrizolinLatinAmerica.
Early this year, Lubrizol announced that it had acquired
EcoQuimica,amanufacturerandsupplierofcoatingstech-
nology for products sold into decorative paints, textiles,
cement, elastomeric coatings andpaper coatings located
inPaulínia,SãoPaulo,whichbecamepartofLubrizol’sPer-
formanceCoatingsbusiness.
Thecompanyhasbeen selling itsproducts in theBrazilianmar-
ket since 1947. In 1980, Lubrizol invested in theconstructionof
aplant inRiode Janeiro, Riode Janeiro, toproduce lubricants,
and ithasbeenexpanding itsfootprinteachyear intheBrazilian
marketplace.
Present in17countrieswith50sitesspreadaroundtheworldand
sales inmore than 100 countries, Lubrizol plans to grow even
further inLatinAmericaand recognizes thatBrazil isoneof the
